Halesowen Library hosts local author Claire Jewkes on her dating book series

Local author Claire Jewkes will be talking about her three books on the dating process in the Young Adult Reading Group at Halesowen Library at 2pm on February 28, March 28, April 25 and May 16.

Aimed at 14–17-year-olds who are members of the library, the group sessions are an opportunity to discuss books of topical interest in a fun, interactive setting.

“Claire is very engaging and does light-hearted games around her books,” said Sue Morgan-Salcombe, Library Manager. “I think she’ll prove very popular and booking is essential.”

Operating under the Better brand, GLL is the not-for-profit social enterprise that runs Halesowen Library on behalf of Dudley Council.

“Events like this are a great way for young people to get together and discover books like Claire’s,” said Stephanie Rhoden, GLL Partnership Manager for Dudley Libraries.

“There’s more to life than screens and human connectivity is an essential part of making friends and learning about our world.”

The Young Adult Reading Group at Halesowen meets monthly in the teenage library and will be continued after Claire’s sessions end in May.
