A pet cat has died after being shot with a pellet gun in the Black Country.

The two-year-old Siamese called Bill belonged to the Peters family of Bloxwich, who have now had four of their cats shot with pellets in the last six years. It died last night due to a wound in its stomach.

The RSPCA today condemned the "mindless" attack. Bill was shot on May 11 and died in Melbourne Vet Centre in Cannock, where it was being treated.
