Leapmotor confirms pricing for new 300-mile B05

Electric hatchback will go on sale in early July.
Leapmotor has released full pricing for its upcoming B05, showcasing the electric hatchback’s £28,995 starting price.
Due to go on sale next month, ahead of first deliveries later in July, the new B05 broadens the Leapmotor range and provides a more accessible option for buyers.
Part-owned by Stellantis – the group which looks after brands such as Vauxhall, Citroen and Peugeot – Leapmotor is a Chinese brand that focuses on electrified vehicles.

The new B05 brings with it a 67.1kWh battery which aims to bring a 300-mile range, while a 178kW maximum charge rate means that a 10 to 80 per cent top-up should be completed in around 20 minutes.
As with other Leapmotor models, the B05 is offered in a single high-specified trim level. Standard features include a panoramic sunroof, 19-inch alloy wheels and automatic air conditioning. Inside, there’s a large central screen which incorporates both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while a wireless charging pad allows users to top up their phones on the move.

In terms of practicality, the B05 offers a 345-litre boot which can be expanded to 1,400 litres by folding down the rear seats. Those back seats also incorporate ISOFIX child seat mounting points.
The B05 is also the first Leapmotor car to get 21 driver assistance features which bring Level 2 semi-autonomous driving capability in the process. Other standard safety features include advanced emergency braking, lane keeping assist and adaptive cruise control.
The new Leapmotor B05 will go on sale soon, prior to customer deliveries commencing later in July.
