OxjamBrum Festival is ready to take off
Preparations for this year's OxjamBrum Takeover Festival are in full swing, with independent bands and artists from Birmingham and beyond signing up to take part.

Last year OxjamBrum raised more than £10,000 to support Oxfam projects around the world, and featured acts such as Scott Matthews, Paul Murphy and Polarbear.
Now a new team, headed by Andrew Marsh and James Hewson are putting together plans to build on the tremendous success of Oxjams past and to celebrate Brum culture in innovative, engaging ways.
This year's OxjamBrum will take place on Saturday 12 October at six venues around the city: The Yardbird, The Victoria, Island Bar, Sunflower Lounge, Brewdog and and soon-to-be-opened Cherry Reds on John Bright Street.
The line-up is yet to be announced, but the OxjamBrum team are already warming up with a residence at the forthcoming Moseley Folk Festival.
Find them at the Tennis Hut at the festival from August 30 to September 1, where selected main-stage artists will be performing stripped-back acoustic performances of their songs to an intimate crowd. There will also be a silent t disco and raffle.
The OxjamBrum team are still on the lookout for volunteers to help with anything from flyering and stewarding to marketing and photography.
