Codsall dental practice expands to meet growing demand thanks to £800,000 development loan from Lloyds
‘This expansion lets us scale and grow without losing the ethics and foundations of the practice’ - the practice owner said
A dental practice in Codsall has expanded and opened a dedicated wellness clinic to increase provision of NHS dental services for the region after securing a £800,000 development loan from Lloyds.
Treetops Dental Surgery, based in the South Staffordshire village of Codsall, near Wolverhampton, was established nearly 60 years ago and has undergone significant expansion to meet the rising demand for dental care in the local area.

The refurbished practice, which has gone from nine to 15 surgeries, now features a redesigned reception and extended hours to improve access.
New specialisms include orthodontics, endodontics, implants and periodontics, as well as an on-site aesthetic and prosthetic laboratory.
The practice has also added a wellness clinic providing heart health checks, vitamin consultations, mole screening and ear syringing - thanks to the funding from Lloyds.
The business loan has been used to help build of an extension and carry out a full refurbishment of the practice, enabling the team to increase surgery capacity, invest in new facilities and enhance the patient experience across private and NHS services.

The practice , which has 6,000-plus active patients and more than 4,000 Denplan members, aims to strengthen its position as a key player in the local healthcare landscape.
The expansion has created employment opportunities with two new dentists and two hygienists hired and it now employs almost 40 people.
Energy-efficient changes are also being built into the expansion, with solar panels planned for the new-build roof – which are expected to service the new extension and potentially feed power back to the grid. Meanwhile, centralised air conditioning, heating and sensor-controlled lighting have already been installed.

Beyond the practice walls, Treetops is part of the BrightBites scheme, visiting local schools to provide children with toothbrushes, toothpaste and oral hygiene instruction.
Polly Bhambra, owner of Treetops Dental Surgery, said: "The practice has grown in reputation locally, and our patients are genuinely loyal because the team creates something special here.
“This expansion lets us scale and grow without losing the ethics and foundations of the practice.

"When you see the dental health statistics for our area – particularly for young children – it becomes a moral imperative to expand capacity and make care more accessible."
Sarah Woodward, relationship director at Lloyds, said: "Polly has built an ambitious vision for Treetops and we're proud to be supporting it. The investment in additional surgeries and modern facilities reflects real ambition to grow and serve more patients across Wolverhampton and the surrounding area.
“By providing development finance, we're helping her scale the practice to meet the growing demand from the local community. It's exactly the kind of meaningful business investment we want to support."
