Stourbridge hospice expands fundraising efforts with new Gornal shop
New Lower Gornal shop will raise vital funds for The Mary Stevens Hospice and is recruiting volunteers ahead of its opening
The Mary Stevens Hospice will open a new charity shop in Lower Gornal on Friday, August 14.

The shop, at 52 Louise Street, will sell a range of donated goods, including clothing, footwear, books and collectables, with all profits helping to fund the hospice's care services in Oldswinford, Stourbridge.
The opening marks the charity's return to the village after a number of years and brings its total number of shops to 16. Other locations include Stourbridge, Dudley, Kingswinford and Kinver.

Claire Towns, chief executive of The Mary Stevens Hospice, said: "We are delighted to be opening a shop in Gornal this summer. The shop represents an exciting opportunity to strengthen our presence within the local community while generating vital funds to support hospice services."
Retail area manager Gail Phillips added: "The local community and neighbouring shops have been incredibly supportive of our return to the village, and we can't wait to welcome everyone to this new shop."

The shop will officially open at 10am on Friday, August 14, with customers welcomed by store manager Emma.
After the launch, it will be open from 9am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday.
The charity is also looking to recruit volunteers. Anyone interested can enquire in store or call 01384 210291.
The Mary Stevens Hospice, which opened in 1991, provides free palliative and end-of-life care for people living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as support for their loved ones, across the Dudley borough and beyond.
