£1,500 raised to give vulnerable children a much-needed break
The money will support Go Beyond, which provides breaks for children aged eight to 13 who are facing challenges
A Lichfield team has helped raise more than £1,500 for a charity supporting children facing difficult circumstances.

Colleagues at Our Co-op’s Lichfield Support Centre joined teams at its Warwick Support Centre and 31 Little Pioneers nurseries across the summer to support Go Beyond’s Ice Cream Moments campaign.
The Lichfield team held a fundraising event on July 28, with colleagues enjoying ice cream from a visiting van, a bake sale, raffle and a guest speaker from Go Beyond.
The raffle included prizes such as tickets to West Midlands Safari Park, a £50 Co-op Travel voucher, tickets to an F1 Arcade watch party in Birmingham and vouchers for the SnowDome in Tamworth.
Together, the two Support Centre events raised more than £900, contributing to a total of more than £1,500 raised through the wider campaign.
Little Pioneers nurseries also held summer-themed fundraising events during July and August, including ice cream and pool parties, summer fêtes, picnics and summer dress-up days.
The money will support Go Beyond, which provides breaks for children aged eight to 13 who are facing challenges including caring responsibilities, poverty, domestic violence, bereavement and anxiety.
The charity has been providing breaks for more than 32 years and says it has helped more than 22,000 vulnerable children.
Jo Turnley, chief operating officer at Our Co-op, said the fundraising showed how colleagues, children and families could come together to support the charity.
Vanessa Fairfax-Woods, from Go Beyond, said the fundraising would help give children facing difficult circumstances the chance to enjoy a break away from the pressures they face.
The campaign forms part of Little Pioneers’ ongoing support for Go Beyond.
