Pattingham to step into Christmas with new festive event
St Chad's Church will welcome visitors for three days of Christmas-themed displays, illuminated silhouettes and family activities in December
A church in Pattingham is preparing to host a new three-day Christmas event featuring festive displays, children's activities and illuminated figures.
St Chad's Church will hold Step into Christmas from Friday, December 11, to Sunday, December 13.
The event follows the success of previous Christmas Tree Festivals and last year's Follow the Star, and will celebrate the traditional Christmas carol.
Inside the church, visitors will be able to see displays and pictures inspired by people's favourite carols, alongside readings from the Bible.
Outside, the churchyard will feature 25 life-sized Christmas-themed silhouettes, which will be illuminated at night to create a festive atmosphere around the village.
Activities for children are also being organised, including a treasure hunt, a prayer and memory Christmas tree and a gingerbread competition.
Light refreshments will be available inside the church.
