Dudley officers swoop on Gornal home after stolen goods posted to social media

They attended an address in Gornal

A woman has been arrested following an investigation into stolen goods being sold online.

Officers from the Dudley North Neighbourhood Team were carrying out patrols and enquiries at a shop in Upper Gornal on Wednesday (27 Oct) when they were made aware of stolen goods being sold.

Tracking the items through social media with the help of information from staff, the team found they were being posted to social media platforms.

Following some quick investigative work, officers attended an address in Lower Gornal, a short time later and made an arrest.

A 38-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

She has since been bailed while our investigation continues.
