The Disabled Facilities Grant is a government-funded initiative that supports essential home adaptations for people living with disabilities. These adaptations can include accessible bathrooms, level-access showers, improved mobility layouts and a range of modifications designed to support safe and independent living. Many households remain unaware of their potential eligibility or are unsure about how to begin the application process.

The event, to be held at Carvers, Littles Lane Showrooms on Tuesday, January 13, from 5pm to 7.30pm, will bring together adaptions specialists showcasing innovative ways to support people to remain independent and safe within their own homes.

Carvers have recently introduced two new displays within their showrooms to showcase adapted bathrooms. Carvers are working closely with the Home Improvement Agency (HIA) – the team who are responsible for delivering adaptions across the City and are looking to support local contractors to be innovative in their installations and expand their knowledge on products available to their customers.
