Warinder Juss MP joined young football enthusiasts at Bantock Park recently to participate in the Wolves Foundation’s Premier League Kicks in the Park, a summer initiative bringing free football sessions to parks across Wolverhampton.

The programme, now bigger than ever, has offered weekly football-based activities for young people aged 8 to 18 at eight different parks throughout the city, over the summer. The sessions are designed to be inclusive and accessible, welcoming players of all abilities in a safe and supportive environment.

Speaking at the event, Warinder Juss MP said:  “A fantastic opportunity for young people to enjoy football in a safe environment. Initiatives like Premier League Kicks in the Park are vital for our communities; they promote physical activity, build confidence, and help young people form lasting friendships. I’m proud to support Wolves Foundation in their mission to make sport accessible to everyone, right here in the heart of Wolverhampton.”

The initiative is part of the long-running Premier League Kicks programme, funded by the Premier League Charitable Fund, which aims to engage young people through sport, music, education, and personal development. Mr Juss is a season ticket holder at Wolverhampton Wanderers and a strong supporter of the Wolves Foundation’s work.

Kurran Kullar, Youth Engagement Manager at Wolves Foundation, added:  “The summer holidays offer a great opportunity not just to continue with our normal weekly sessions, but also bring in Kicks in the Park, another opportunity to get active and enjoy outdoor exercise.

In addition to youth sessions, this year’s programme also included Adults in the Park – a new feature that allowed parents, guardians, and other adults to join in the fun at selected venues including West Park, East Park, and Goodyear Neighbourhood Park.
