For their annual Summer Celebration, members of SI Cannock & District and their friends visited World of Wedgwood in Stoke on Trent earlier this month.

They went on a fascinating tour around the factory and learned about the development of the world class pottery factory which was founded in 1759. There were examples of their excellent designs, old and new and they watched skilled craftsmen and women creating beautiful items, many using techniques employed since the factory was founded.

After a delicious lunch, there was an opportunity to visit the museum where they could learn more about this historic Staffordshire company plus few could resist popping into the shop, although most contented themselves with ‘window shopping’!
