We are thrilled that so many of our students have achieved top grades this year, opening doors to first-choice universities, apprenticeships, and promising careers. We spoke to some of our students today to see what they thought about their results and their time at South Staffordshire College, here’s what they said.

Performing Arts student, Callum Mahoney said “With the guidance and encouragement of my lecturers, I have become a completely new person since my first year, developing a range of strong skills that have shaped both my personal and professional journey. I am now pursuing a future in filmmaking, transitioning from performing arts to study at MetFilm in Birmingham, where I will begin a new journey learning all aspects of film”.

Game Art and Animation student, Veronica Smirnova said “I am so happy with the progress that I have made over my time at South Staffordshire College – it has been truly amazing and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I am so excited to soon be continuing developing my skills to the highest they can be at University of Staffordshire studying Game Art!”

Dog Grooming student, Nicola Russell-Donnellan said “I’m absolutely buzzing with my results this morning. I have been awarded a Distinction. Along with being awarded Level 3 student of the year. I’ve achieved things I really thought were not possible at my age. Who said ‘you can’t teach an old dog, new tricks’. I’ve had an amazing time studying at Rodbaston College. Thank you to everyone at Rodbaston that has made this possible”.

Arboriculture student, Billy Brooker said “Returning to college as an adult learner was the best thing I could have done. I have gone from lacking direction, working a dead end job and feeling unfulfilled to having a passion for looking after and understanding trees, gaining necessary skills and qualifications and working for a professional arb team”.

A huge well done to all South Staffordshire College students celebrating their well-deserved success this Level 3 results day.
