The club guide with DJ Stuart Ojelay - December 7

Last weekend my adventures took me to pastures new in Lithuania, writes DJ Stuart Ojelay. Once once again it was amazing to see how fast these countries are developing and they sure know how to party.

I'm a lot closer to home this weekend, which I'll fill you in on later.

Lush has been hosting bass-laden events at Gorgeous in Wolverhampton for two years now and they'll be celebrating that fact in true style tonight.

Kissdafunk have hosted some fantastic events all over the world and their main man Rob Tissera will be making a rare visit to Wolverhampton to headline. Joe Campbell, Danny Jones and Marc Spence support while Keeko plays all things urban in room two.

Couture in Stafford has brought in X-Factor's Lucy Spraggan to perform her YouTube sensation hit. Looks like the masses are in attendance, so her early exit from the show may well not have been a bad thing!

The Planet has always had a cult following in Wolverhampton within the alternative music scene and with cheap drinks and entrance prices tonight should be no different for Planet Dubstep.

On to Saturday and I'm looking forward to hitting the decks locally for Secret Party Project as they take over Revolution Walsall. These guys always have a full on production and it will be great to perform alongside great acts such as Luke Hayes, Joe Quinn and Ben Jammin on Sax.

It's a great time to be nostalgic in Wolverhampton on Saturday! Raw was conceived over 10 years ago at Rico's nightclub and was one of the original players on the underground music scene.

They'll be bringing back the good times at Frixxion with many of the original cast including Mickey Duke, Tom Wellcutt, DJ Scott and Mickey Collins.

Also turning back time will be Absolute Old Skool at Slade Rooms with Djs Phil Gardner and Pilgrim with a mixture soul, funk and reggae from 89-97.

For a decadent cocktail or a glass of the fizzy stuff then look no further than Nuvo in Birmingham. Set to a great deep and soulful house soundtrack from Steve Young this is always worth a visit early doors through to late.

More big players have been drafted in by Ec-Lectricity as Rusko and Madeon headline their Christmas special at The HMV Institute for another fine display of forward thinking electronica.

Art is a fusion of food, music and fashion and all about bringing like-minded people together in venues with originality.

It's the brainchild of Chloe Dowding and Josh Scott and their recent event will take place at a secret rooftop location in The Custard Factory this Sunday. Music will be supplied by some of the big hitters in deep house with Ben Pearce, Jouhl and Pornogroove all on board!

If you would like to touch base regards any events in the West Midlands then just head to facebook.com/stuartojelay and twitter.com/stuartojelay

Have a great weekend guys – see you on the other side!
