She also said the costume was stolen and she is still awaiting its return.

Pop star Madonna said she was “disturbed” when the vintage costume she wore at Coachella went missing, and is still awaiting its return.

The Like A Virgin singer joined popstar Sabrina Carpenter during her second weekend headline slot at the music festival in California earlier this year, where she wore a vintage purple corset dress.

Following their performance, the 67-year-old posted to Instagram revealing that the costume had gone missing and offered a reward for the pieces, including a jacket, corset and dress, if returned.

Speaking to presenter Graham Norton for an “exclusive” new BBC programme, Madonna was asked whether she has had the costume back yet.

She said: “Nope, it’s very naughty.”

Madonna also said the costume was “taken out” of her dressing room, and the interview briefly went quiet after Norton brought up the incident.

The star added: ” I think Coachella is a… It’s a very distracting environment. There’s a lot going on.

“Somebody found (the costumes) and helped themselves.”

She continued: “I was very disturbed by it for a couple of days, because they’re historical.”

The veteran pop star went on to say her collaboration with Carpenter at Coachella “happened in a very pure way” after the Espresso singer invited her to join her headline set.

They performed songs including Vogue and Like A Prayer, and debuted their new track together Bring Me Love – which will feature on Madonna’s upcoming album Confessions II.

The singer, born Madonna Ciccone, will release her upcoming record on July 3 and it will serve as a follow up to her Grammy-winning 2005 album Confessions On A Dancefloor.

It has also been rumoured that Australian singer Kylie Minogue is among the stars to feature on the record, which includes a collaboration with Madonna and her eldest daughter Lourdes Leon.
