Free outdoor pool reopens in beautiful West Midlands market town after suspected vandalism
An outdoor pool has reopened today (Saturday 30 May) in a beautiful market town in the West Midlands.
A free outdoor pool has reopened today in the beautiful market town of Stratford-upon-Avon.
Stratford-on-Avon District Council said that the paddling pool at the Recreation Ground has now reopened following repars after recent suspected vandalism.
The council posted on Facebook yesterday (Friday 29 May): “The paddling pool at the Rec Ground will reopen on Saturday 30 May, following repairs after recent suspected vandalism.
“We know how much this facility means to local families, and we appreciate everyone’s patience while we worked to get it back up and running”.

With paddling pools at Victoria Park in Leamington and St Nicholas Park in Warwick currently closed for planned refurbishment and the War Memorial Splash Park permanently closed, the Stratford facility is the only free paddling pool in the area that is now open.
It is really popular with kids and would make for a great day out this weekend.
One user commented on the council’s post saying it was “great news” that the pool is now open today.
Another added: “Great news for everyone heading to Stratford with kids this weekend while sun still out!”.
