Hamilton ticket-holders furious as London opening is delayed by two weeks

The offer of new seats does not help foreign visitors who booked travel into the UK.
Ticket-holders for preview performances of hotly anticipated musical Hamilton are furious after it was announced that at least 16 shows have been pushed back by two weeks.
News of the delay, due to the late opening of show venue Victoria Palace Theatre following a multimillion-pound renovation, was shared on Friday via the Hamilton website.
It included a lengthy statement from producer Cameron Mackintosh apologising for the change, which will see the run of previews begin on December 6 rather than November 21, as originally planned.
#HamiltonLDN previews will now begin on 6 December 2017 rather than 21 November 2017. Further details: https://t.co/tuPnGzm28n

Organisers have vowed to re-seat all ticket-holders and refund the difference to people who had previously paid for full-price shows during that date.
For people who had planned to fly into the country especially for the original opening nights, the offer is too little, too late.
One disappointed fan commented on Twitter: “We have November tickets, flying from US to see the show. Re-seating for later date won’t help a bit with cost of re-booking flights.”

Among those who especially booked holiday time for the show, one wrote: “Well that’s comeltlely (sic) unacceptable. Purposefully booked work arrangements around the date I booked months ago.

This is unbelievable. Money spent on flights and hotels now all gone. This shouldn't happen. Very upset and disappointed.

I hope you'll be providing compensation to those who've paid for hotel and travel for a show that's no longer playing

Others, who spent more than £100 on full-price shows after December 6, were also disappointed to learn that they will now be watching a preview.
“I paid full price to see the finalised performance but now I’m getting a preview… this is unacceptable,” one complained.

So those of us who paid full price but now have preview tickets? Are we getting the £ difference back? Or new seats after opening night?
