Youngsters at a Wednesbury nursery were given the chance to learn more about fire safety thanks to a special event.
Fire officers from West Bromwch fire station attended Our Place nursery in Friar Park for a talk about staying safe and the dangers of matches.
They were also treated to a tour of a fire engine along with a goody bag including a puppet and money box.
The nursery, which caters for 32 children, was also shown a DVD warning them about the dangers of fire.
Nursery Officer Shelia Clarke, aged 54, from Wednesbury said the children had a fantastic time.
"Everybody was really excited to have the fire officers come to the school and the children loving have a look at the fire engine.
"It is crucial that we teach children about the importance of staying safe at home and not to play with fire.
"This kind of talk gives them the chance to hear first hand about the issues relating to fire and how they can look after themselves.
"They were certainly very impressed by the fire engine and as a whole I am thrilled by how the event went."
