Patrick Dorgu returned after a hamstring injury.

Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw missed training on the eve of Manchester United’s crunch Champions League match against Roma but Patrick Dorgu retuned for the first time since picking up a hamstring injury.

Head coach Michael Carrick is under intense pressure as Saturday’s 2-0 loss at Chelsea extended the Red Devils’ wretched winless run to a ninth match in all competitions for the first time since 1988.

United will look to snap that streak at home to Roma on Tuesday but Rashford and Shaw look set to be absent once again having sat out training on Monday morning.

Lisandro Martinez was involved two days on from his costly sending off at Stamford Bridge, as was Dorgu for the first time since sustaining a hamstring issue on international duty with Denmark in September.

Benjamin Sesko and Manuel Ugarte remain long-term absentees that will miss the remainder of 2026.

United are looking to record their first victory in all competitions since their last Champions League home match – a 4-0 win against Sabah 53 days ago.
