After reporting that a survey had suggested Albion fans were not the best looking football supporters, we asked fans to prove the poll wrong - here are the results.

There's selfies from Baggies fans in Smethwick, Spain, Finland and Japan, with the odd rival fan thrown in for good measure.

We recently reported that a survey had found Albion fans to be among the less attractive supporters in the Premier League.

To say the article provoked a strong response would be somewhat of an understatement.

Twitter was awash with comments. West Brom fans were determined to not be hard done by, while many rival supporters were determined to rub their noses in it.

Occasionally tit-for-tat remarks were put aside and people remembered that unscientific and utterly subjective surveys should not be taken too seriously.

Crucially, plenty of supporters responded to our call for photographic evidence.
