Wolves' Karl Henry holds talks with QPR
Wolves midfielder Karl Henry has held talks with Queens Park Rangers about a move to Loftus Road – but discussions have broken up without agreement.
The 30-year-old, one of four players transfer-listed by Wolves with Roger Johnson, Stephen Ward and Jamie O'Hara, has been in talks with the Championship club.
But he has returned to Wolves and it's unclear whether the move can be resurrected.
Head coach Kenny Jackett said: "Karl Henry has had some conversations with Queens Park Rangers but I don't think it's come to a head.
"He was there today but then as far as I know, he was playing for our Under-21s in the training ground game against West Ham today.
"I don't know the latest on it but it doesn't seem as if it's about to go ahead."
Jackett was unclear whether the move would be on a free transfer or for a fee, with Henry having three years left on his contract and a sizeable signing-on fee due each year.
"The transfer fees and wages are quite often mixed into one so it's perhaps a little simplistic to look at a potential deal," said Jackett.
"But anyway, although there have been conversations, it's not something that's come to fruition and at present, he's a Wolves player.
"I don't know what's happened on a personal level and I don't know that it's irretrievable, but QPR have been interested in Karl Henry and no deal has been done."
Jackett has made it clear Henry, along with Johnson, Ward and O'Hara, have no place in his plans and they have had their shirt numbers taking away.
Henry joined Wolves from Stoke in July 2006 for a bargain £100,000 and captained them to the Championship title in 2009.
He has played over 270 games for the club and is in the top 40 in the list of all-time appearance makers for the club.
