"They can get on board with that" - Wolves boss on fan reaction to Arsenal defeat

Edwards approached the away end after late disappointment at the Emirates and encouraged his players to do the same and he feels the supporters can appreciate the effort they put in.

"It was very positive," Edwards said when asked about the reaction from supporters at full-time.

"I think they saw the commitment from the lads and they saw a team that was fighting for them. 

"They understand the situation that we're in and the club is in at the moment, so if they see a team that's fighting for them, playing for the badge and the commitment that I've talked about a lot that I want to see from my team, then I think they can get on board with that, even if we don't get points. So that was good.

"I always want to try and encourage the lads to show their appreciation. It's tough, it's difficult. Fans will be down and I understand it, I get it.

"But I'll always do that and try and encourage the boys to do it as well. The fans are amazing. Just feel for them at the moment."

Substitutes Mateus Mane and Tolu Arokodare combined for the equaliser before Arsenal's 94th minute winner - marking Mane's first senior assist and Arokodare's first Premier League goal for the club.

"A great moment for them and hopefully they can build on them as well," Edwards added.

"Mane's obviously a young lad that we like and it's four appearances in a row he's made for us now. He's a plus for us.

"It's good for Tolu.

"He's an emotional guy and I think he's still learning and has lots to do, but we can really try and help him, work together to bring more out of him because he's got something."
