West Brom star man agrees new contract

The defender has proven a huge hit with supporters.

Albion have been boosted by player of the year Callum Styles signed a new deal with the club.

The left-back, who won both supporters’ and players’ player of the season awards, has agreed a new four-year contract at The Hawthorns.

Styles, who has made 82 appearances for the Baggies since joining from Barnsley in 2024, explained how he jumped at the chance to extend his stay.

The 26-year-old told WBA TV: “As soon as I heard from my agent that the club wanted to extend, it was a matter of asking: ‘When can you get the deal done?’.

“It’s just felt like the right connection. Players can go to clubs and not click, but I think it’s really clicked for me here.

“Ever since I first played at The Hawthorns, I remember ge]ng thumped when I was at Barnsley, 4-0. I think it was the last game of the season.

“And I was like ‘wow what a club this is’, genuinely. And then the move happened in the summer of 2024. Since then, I’ve embraced every minute and it’s been amazing.

“I’ve loved it here from the first day and I’m hoping we can achieve better things in the future.”
