The Ireland international completed a shock free transfer to The Hawthorns from Blackburn on Tuesday and could face Wolves as a Baggies player in next Sunday's Molineux derby.
And the 31-year-old, who spent a decade at Wolves from the age of 15 but was released in 2005, insisted he would have no mixed feelings if Albion stay up at their arch-rivals' expense.
"I had to have a career somewhere and this move was right for me at this stage in my career so I'm not really too bothered about the (Wolves) situation," said Andrews.
"My loyalties lie with West Brom at the moment. I was grateful for the chance Wolves gave me and I've got a coach (Keith Downing) here now who was my youth team manager at Wolves.
"But I left Wolves a long time ago and the only people I know there now player-wise are the lads I play with for Ireland, so it's just one of those things."
Andrews tore up a contract with 18 months to run at Blackburn to sign for an initial six months at The Hawthorns.
He was left disillusioned at his treatment by Rovers, alleging they offered him to other clubs for loan without his knowledge after an infection contracted during a groin operation restricted him to six games last season.
And he revealed today that he effectively refused to play for Blackburn after returning last month from a loan stint at Ipswich.
"When I want back in January they thought I was going to just come back into the fold," he said.
"I had a meeting with the manager (Steve Kean) one Tuesday and they were under the impression I was going to play on the Saturday but I had no inclination to play for that club again after the way they treated me. It was my desire to leave Blackburn that means I forfeited 12 months of my contract.
"I walked away from at 18-month contract to come here for six months, which just shows how keen I was to get away from Blackburn and to come here."
