Former Wolves boss Kenny Jackett in the frame for Shrewsbury Town job
Former Wolves boss Kenny Jackett has emerged as a potential candidate for the vacant post at League One Shrewsbury Town.
The Shropshire club have begun searching for a new manager following the departure of former Albion midfielder Micky Mellon by mutual consent. Jackett, who has been out of work since being axed by Wolves in July, is currently second favourite to replace the Scot with the bookmakers, behind former Bristol City boss Steve Cotterill.

The 54-year-old spent three years as head coach at Molineux, winning promotion from League One in his first season in charge. Following Wolves' takeover by Fosun International, he was axed a week before the start of this season and replaced by Walter Zenga.
Shrewsbury are currently 22nd in the table having won just two of their opening 12 games. Mellon is set to be named Tranmere's new manager. Ex-Baggies boss Tony Mowbray is also among the bookies' favourites.
