The family of a Wolves fan found dead in Spain are calling on the Government to help bring his body home
The family of a man whose body was discovered in woodland in Spain has called on the Government to intervene and bring his body home.
The family of Wolves fan Josh Rogers, from Bloxwich, is asking for help to find out how he died and to bring his body home. They are also appealing for help to find out what happened to Josh.
The 33-year-old''s body was discovered in a wooded area near Lloret de Mar, a town on the Costa Brava, on Tuesday, September 23, just four days after he had flown out to Spain.
Catalan police Mossos d'Esquadra said they had closed their investigation after a post-mortem examination found no evidence of violence or criminal intent.
In a statement, Mossos d'Esquadra said: "The investigators and the forensic doctor did not find any signs of violence in the examination of the body, and later during the autopsy no specific cause was detected that would make the investigation continue.
"The police have already closed the case as a non-criminal death."

A GoFundMe page has now been set up to help raise funds to bring his body home. Hundreds of wellwishers have donated to the fund which is now over £5,000.
The family has commented on the page saying: "We’ve just received the devastating news that it will be a long time before we can bring Josh home, as we await the results of DNA testing.
"In a few days, his mum will have to return from Spain without her son — only his belongings — and still unable to see him. Both Mum and Stu have fought tirelessly since arriving in Spain. They’ve done absolutely everything in their power to get answers and bring Josh home.
"Their strength and determination have been nothing short of heroic. Josh will get justice for whatever has happened. We truly believe someone out there knows something even the smallest detail could help. If you have any information, please come forward.
"Reach out, share, post - anything that could lead us closer to the truth. The support we’ve received through this GoFundMe has been overwhelming. We’re deeply grateful to every single person who’s donated, shared, or sent love. Please continue to support if you’re able — the costs of bringing Josh home are immense, and that’s before we even begin to face the heartbreak and expense of funeral arrangements. Thank you for standing with us."
Mr Rogers, who had Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, a neurological condition affecting mobility, was a Wolverhampton Wanderers fan and may have been heading to a bar to watch a match, his family believes. They insist the disappearance was "out of character".
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office said: "We have not been approached for consular assistance, but our staff stand ready to support British nationals overseas 24/7."You can see the GoFundMe page raising funds to help with bringing Josh home has reached nearly £5,500
