Dave Edwards: Bristol City's Alex Scott could be a big capture for Wolves
Alex Scott looks like one of those players who thrives on the big occasion and he would be a brilliant addition for Wolves if they get it done.
There have been varying reports in the national press over recent weeks regarding Wolves’ pursuit of Scott.
At one stage I thought they were out of the running, which I was disappointed in, but you do not want to overpay and be held to ransom.
I was delighted to hear that it seems to be back on and although they have had a couple of bids rejected they are not a million miles apart.
Bristol City want £25million and Wolves are just shy of that at the moment – but you would imagine that would get done.
It is a really important one for them to get done with what has been happening in recent weeks with all the sales and trying to recoup as much money as they can.
It feels like they need a bit of a positive story coming out and the signing of Scott would definitely be that, I think it would be huge for the club.
