Boost as Premier League confirms all September games will be on TV
Fans of Wolves and Villa have been handed a boost as the Premier League have confirmed all September matches will be live on TV.
With supporters still unable to go to grounds, it seemed they would not have any way to watch some games.
Now though, top-flight chiefs have finally announced all 28 matches throughout the month will be broadcast by the existing rights holders.
Wolves' season-opener at Sheffield United on Monday will be on Sky Sports, with the kick-off time having been moved from 8pm to 6pm.
Villa's first game of 2020/21, at home against the Blades, will also be on Sky and has been pushed back to Monday, September 21 (6pm).
The Premier League had originally stated, in error, that Wolves and Villa's season-openers were to be shown on free-to-air channel Pick.
Wolves' home clash with Man City is still on Sky Sports and still on Monday, September 21 – but it will now start a quarter of an hour later (8.15pm).
Both sides are awaiting broadcast confirmation for their games on the last weekend of September, while Albion's first three fixtures were already selected for TV.
The Premier League also said in a statement: "In consultation with all relevant stakeholders, the Premier League is considering appropriate arrangements for matches which will take place after October 1.
"The Premier League is working on a step-by-step approach, while monitoring the developments regarding the League’s number one priority of getting fans back into full stadiums as soon as possible, with safety always being our priority."
