Wolves to make goalkeeper decision for FA Cup clash

Jose Sa is set to be rested for Wolves as they welcome Liverpool to Molineux in their FA Cup fifth round clash.

The goalkeeper pulled off a world class save on Tuesday night to deny Rio Ngumoha, as Wolves beat Liverpool 2-1 in the Premier League.

But as the Reds prepare for their Molineux return, Rob Edwards has confirmed Sa will be given a rest amid an ongoing ankle issue.

"Tomorrow it's not so much (a decision) because Sa's a little bit sore still," the head coach said.

"He's been carrying his ankle over the last few weeks and he's a bit sore anyway so he didn't really train today.

"So that decision will probably get taken out of my hands for tomorrow.

"He's been feeling it for a few weeks, so we've had to manage it.

"He's fine, he'll be all right, but I don't think it'll be the right thing for tomorrow."

Edwards did not confirm who would replace Sa, but second choice Sam Johnstone has played in the previous FA Cup rounds and is likely to start again.

Otherwise, Wolves have a fully fit squad to choose from and will only be without Tuesday night's matchwinner Andre.

The midfielder has picked up two FA Cup yellow cards before the quarter-final stage and has been given a one-match ban as result.
