Paul Lambert: Wolves are fearless
Boss Paul Lambert believes his fearless Wolves team are building up momentum – as he looks to engineer a climb up the Championship table.
Performances have been much improved under Lambert in recent weeks and Wolves caused an FA Cup shock on Saturday by beating Premier League side Stoke City 2-0.
The boss has overseen three consecutive away clean sheets and a number of his players have spoke of an improved mood around the club.
Lambert believes his players are playing with more enthusiasm and enjoyment and has compared the difference between now and before his tenure as like 'night and day'.
Wolves welcome Lambert's former team Villa to Molineux on Saturday looking to move towards the top half of the table.
And Lambert said of his players: "We're playing without fear. Any game, anyone that's played under me will tell you, I go to try and win.
"It was the same at Norwich, even at Wycombe when I first started out.
"I've got lads in the team that I think play a certain way. Going to try and win games is better than waiting for things to happen.
"You've got to go and make it happen yourself.
"We're playing with so much confidence at the minute – they seem to be enjoying it.
"When a new manager comes in you tend to get a reaction for a couple of weeks and then things go back into a lull.
"Thankfully it's going the other way, it seems to be snowballing."
