Wolves sign Sheffield Wednesday's Jeremy Helan on season-long loan
Wolves have signed left-sided French player Jeremy Helan on loan from Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday.
The 23-year-old can play at left back or left wing and has moved to Molineux until the end of the season.
The former Rennes and Manchester City youth player has been at Hillsborough since 2013, when he favoured a move to Wednesday over Wolves, who wanted to sign him at the start of their League One campaign.
Kenny Jackett was delighted to add some squad depth:
"He gives us natural balance on the left side, we've had a considerable amount of injuries down there.
"He can play wide left or at left back. I think he's capable of both and he's comfortable in either depending on the system that you play.
"He's an attacking player and has a lot of pace and power, which is something we need in either position. We're very pleased to add him."
Wolves don't have a recognised specialist left back in their squad, with Matt Doherty and Kortney Hause playing there of late.
And they are short of left wingers too, with Jordan Graham and Michal Zyro out injured.
Helan has made 22 appearances this season, including as a 58th-minute substitute in Wednesday's 4-1 win over Wolves just before Christmas.
But he hasn't featured at all in the past month, and Owls boss Carlos Carvalhal is happy to let him go on loan.
The Yorkshire club will have a 24-hour recall clause after 28 days of the loan have passed.
