The on-loan Cologne wideman is expected to be out for three months after a scan revealed a torn medial ligament.

Peszko was stretchered off in Tuesday's 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace after a tackle by midfielder Jonathan Williams.

In addition, fellow winger Razak Boukari is set for a four-week absence with a torn calf, while a third wide midfielder, Stephen Hunt, has already been ruled out for several months as he prepares to undergo further hernia surgery.

Striker Bjorn Sigurdarson missed training today ahead of tomorrow's clash at Blackburn after reporting in ill.
