A Premier League side beating a League Two club was not a surprise, but the gulf in class was huge as Rob Edwards' side enjoyed themselves at Molineux.

Wolves came into the game with some momentum after improved performances and results and despite struggling at the bottom of the Premier League table, they were expected to beat Salop.

Michael Appleton's team are battling relegation in the fourth tier and were unlikely to mount a challenge at Molineux, although a brief slip up from Wolves saw Town score a penalty to make it 2-1 and give Wolves a small scare.

It was not impressive that Wolves won the game, but it was impressive how they continued to attack it.

With a 3-1 lead at half-time, the second half could have been an opportunity to coast and take their foot off the gas.

But Wolves moved the ball quickly, attacked with intent and were eager to give supporters something to cheer about after the dire campaign they have had to endure.
