Wolves will go 'back to the future' in unveiling their new home kit at the club's end-of-season dinner at Telford International Centre.

The new kit, designed by Burrda, is almost completely gold in colour with mesh panelling detail, while the shorts are almost totally black and the socks are gold. It is a throwback to kits of the 1950s and 60s in its minimalist design.

It also benefits from a new process for the application of the Wolves and Burrda logos which creates almost a 3D effect.

There is also a 'We are Wolves' neck taping and a small Wolves logo on the back under the neck.

The kit has been created using the latest fabric technology and a moisture management system to offer peak performance for the players and maximum comfort and fit for supporters.

Wolves' head of retail and merchandising Peter Pridmore said: "We have listened to fans' views and thoughts about the kit and have taken into account that many have expressed a preference for a shirt which is almost completely gold in colour.

"We're very pleased with the results and Burrda have come up with an excellent design. The players have had a sneak preview of the shirt when we took it to Compton and were impressed with it - hopefully the fans at the end of season dinner tonight will agree.

"We're confident the kit will be a good seller and that there will be plenty of Wolves fans proudly showing their colours in the summer."

The new home kit has again been frozen at the same price, with shirts on sale at £40 for adults, £35 for ladies, and £30 for juniors and mini-kits.

The kit is available to pre-order from tomorrow, online or in store and will be available from mid-June.

Fans pre-ordering or purchasing the new kit during June will also receive a £10 voucher off the current black strip, which is remaining as Wolves' away kit for next season.

See tomorrow's Express & Star for pictures of the new kit.
