West Brom v Watford: Exciting Rabby Nzingoula banging on door as Kareem Tunde feels Championship introduction
Albion are back to it with another home clash on Saturday - the second of three in 11 days.
Talented midfielder Rabby Nzingoula is banging on the door to make himself a regular fixture in James Morrison’s Albion team.
The 20-year-old summer signing is exciting supporters and staff alike at The Hawthorns and shone after his half-time introduction during Wednesday’s frustrating draw against Charlton.
Nzingoula has so far been used from the bench in all four league games - as well as an EFL Cup start at Newcastle - as Albion carefully build up his robustness following a limited pre-season at former club Strasbourg.
But the talent is obvious and the midfielder is making himself difficult to ignore as Morrison mulls over his starting line-up for another tight turnaround and Saturday afternoon’s visit of Watford to The Hawthorns.
The Hornets are now under Italian Alessio Dionisi as the relentless managerial merry-go-round continues at Vicarage Road. They are the second of three teams to visit Albion in 11 days as the busy early-season schedule bits. Morrison also takes his side to Derby County in the middle of next week.
Recruits like Nzingoula, and fellow new boy Toby Collyer - who was an unused substitute on Wednesday - will be needed sooner rather than later.
Morrison said of the Frenchman’s impact: "He was (very bright). Even with him there were a few times where the last pass was an easy pass, the way I see it, to put someone in and he missed it.
"I think that's going to be him until he puts it all together and does something brilliant. He might misplace the easy stuff.
"You can see he's a huge talent."
Albion beat off fancied Swansea for Nzingoula’s signature, with technical director Dominic Price a big admirer. Morrison added: "You could see when he was first put in at Norwich, he was dead. He only had a couple of games in pre-season, two 60 minutes. We're going to have to build him up."
Nzingoula, naturally a central player, replaced summer signing Kareem Tunde at the interval against Charlton after Tunde felt the effects of a first Championship start.

Morrison said of the Spanish winger, 21, who signed from Levante: "I felt he felt the intensity of the game!
"He probably learned a lot in terms of that. We're probably going to have to work really hard with him to try to get him up to speed and pick the moments when he can.
"It's just him putting it all together. I felt the opportunity when he did try to do that it was quite an easy pass for him.
"Maybe he was under fatigue from the intensity of the game. But hopefully we can get him some more game time, because we need it! In those types of games it is crying out for a one-v-one specialist.”
The test could be a different one against Dionisi’s Watford, a club that typically like to be open with the ball.
The 46-year-old coach, a former centre-back, has managed eight clubs in his homeland, but this is a first job outside of Italy.
They completed nine summer signings, including Spanish striker Iker Bravo and Argentinian midfielder Martin Payero, as well as deadline day loan centre-back duo Soumaila Coulibaly and Branimir Mlacic.
Some influential stars went out the exit door, including Imran Louza, Giorgi Chakvetadze and Nestory Irankunda.
Watford have opened up with one win from four league games.
