Ipswich Town boss issues "show it again" call ahead of West Brom trip
West Brom host Championship promotion contenders Ipswich Town in the early kick-off on Saturday.
Kieran McKenna has urged Ipswich Town to replicate the performance levels from their comeback win at Charlton Athletic when they travel to the Hawthorns on Saturday.
Former Baggies defender Darnell Furlong cancelled out Greg Docherty’s first-minute equaliser, before Jaden Philogene completed the turnaround from the spot in the second half.
They registered their first win in three Championship games in the process to climb back into second-place - with only goal difference keeping them above Millwall in third.
Another victory against Albion in the early kick-off would take them a step closer to an immediate return to the Premier League and McKenna has called on Ipswich to show character once again in the West Midlands.
“It’s a big win. I really like how we won,” McKenna said after his side’s victory at Charlton.
“Conceding a goal that early was a big blow. Then we couldn’t get a foothold in the game.
“So to comeback from that and show belief, to score a really good goal in the first half and come out in the second half really strong was a good show of character from the group.
“To do that away from home, it was a good night to do it. Now there’s every chance we have to show it again if we are going to be successful.”

Left-back Leif Davis remains a doubt, after missing the trip to The Valley due to a hamstring issue - as Ben Johnson replaced him.
Along with Furlong, Ipswich also boast former Albion trio Alex Palmer, Cedric Kipre and Dara O’Shea within their ranks.
Palmer has lost his place as No 1 to Christian Walton - while O’Shea has featured in every Championship game and Kipre has scored three goals in 32 league appearances this term.
Wes Burns has missed the past six games with a calf injury but is nearing a return.
