In-form Isaac Price reveals 'key message' delivered by West Brom boss James Morrison

The attacker has scored in three of Albion’s last four home games.

Albion goalscorer Isaac Price has revealed the secret to James Morrison’s success is harnessing a togetherness at The Hawthorns.

Morrison has inspired the Baggies to a critical nine-match unbeaten run which appears to have banished any fears of relegation to League One.

It is a far-cry from the abject form two months earlier, when ex-boss Eric Ramsay was dismissed and Albion floundered in the drop zone.

Price, who has discovered his form under former midfielder Morrison, hailed the Albion head coach for uniting the troops in the safety push.

Price said: “I think there's just a real togetherness around the place.

“I think he's probably instilled a confidence. I think it's more about going back to the basics. Run for each other, fight for each other and the rest will come with it.

“I think the nice little bit of play that you see, that's probably a little bit off the cuff from the lads that are good enough to do that.

“But I think the real key message is just be together. Out-run people, out-work them and the results will come.”

Price opened the scoring in the 3-0 victory over Watford on Tuesday. It was the Northern Ireland international’s third goal in four home games and ninth for the Baggies this season.

Albion moved eight points clear of relegation places but cannot definitively toast survival due to a financial charge hanging over the club.

It led to an unusual feeling on Tuesday, but Price said: “I think genuinely in the dressing room, it's something that we don't really think about.

“You go into every football game wanting to win and wanting to get three points and I feel like the last nine games we've been great at doing that.

“I think whatever's going to happen is going to happen, but our focus is to go and win the last two games that we've got this season.

“We know we've not been good enough this season. This club should never be in the situation that we've been in. But I think we'll be going into every game thinking ‘come on lads, let's go get six points and finish really strong.’”
