Albion still offer a value for money ticket

Figures collected by the league show that Hawthorns regulars continue to enjoy some of the lowest prices available in the top-flight.

The findings shows that the most commonly-paid match ticket price by Albion's adult season ticket holders was the fourth cheapest in the division.

At £21, it was more than £9 less expensive than the Premier League average, during a time of record levels in Premier League attendances.

Some 95.9 per cent of tickets available were sold over the 380 matches of the 2014-15 campaign, marking the third season in a row that occupancy exceeded 95 per cent.

And almost two-thirds of people who attend matches in the Premier League are season ticket holders at 66%.

The research by the league found that the average of the adult season ticket that was most commonly paid - the model price - was £30.25 per fixture.

Combining all of the season ticket prices available at the 20 clubs, the average price paid by adult season ticket holders works out at £33. Junior season ticket holders cost just £10.

Richard Scudamore, the Premier League's executive chairman, said: "Season ticket holders are getting some excellent value from their clubs.

"Full and vibrant stadiums are a hugely important part of what makes the Premier League so special. Clubs recognise the contribution of the loyal supporter base that sustains the game at this level.

"Clubs are alive to the importance of keeping that match-going habit, which is why a number of them are extending junior concessions to the ages of 18 or 21 in some cases.

"To keep attendances at the current historically high levels clubs have to provide value for fans. The football has to be worth watching, as well as worth the cost of the ticket.

"The competitive and compelling nature of Premier League football does a great job in keeping fans coming back for more."
