Harrison Burke says Walsall are targeting a shared goal to achieve promotion to League One next season.
A run of just one win in six games has seen the Saddlers drop to seventh in League Two - although they sit just three points adrift of the automatic promotion places.
Burke made his return from a lengthy injury layoff when he made his first league appearance in almost four months during the 2-2 draw at Chesterfield on Saturday.
He feels that the patient approach taken towards his recovery has helped him regain his sharpness and hopes that he will reap the reward for his work in the shadows during the League Two run-in.
