Walsall reportedly win the race to sign Fulham under-21s striker on loan
Walsall have reportedly won the race to sign Fulham striker Aaron Loupalo-Bi on loan until the end of the season.
As reported by journalist Peter O'Rourke, Loupalo-Bi is set to join the Saddlers after contributing 14 goals and three assists in all competition for Fulham under-21s tis term.
The 20-year-old has netted eight goals in nine appearances in the Premier League 2 - including a pair of braces in wins over Arsenal and Birmingham City.
Loupalo-Bi also scored against fellow League Two rivals Gillingham in the EFL Trophy earlier in the campaign and three times in the newly-formed National League Cup.
The report adds that a number of EFL clubs have shown an interest in Loupalo-Bi but that Walsall have agreed a deal to bring the young striker to Bescot.
Mat Sadler revealed that the Saddlers are expecting to announce two new signings before the weekend, after confirming that top scorer Daniel Kanu will remain on loan until the end of the season.
He has also recently voiced his desire to bolster his attacking ranks - stating that any further additions are likely to come via the loan market.
Walsall have three extra loan slots to fill after Dan Cox, Jid Okeke and Ryan Finnigan were recalled by their parent clubs last week.
Along with Kanu, fellow loan pair Myles Roberts and Rico Richards are also set to remain with Walsall for the rest of the campaign.
