Roofe, who joined his hometown club on a short-term deal in November, has not featured since the Saddlers' 2-0 win at Gateshead in the FA Cup on December 7.

The 32-year-old sustained the injury in the North East and went for a scan earlier this week to determine the severity of the issue.

And after receiving the results, Sadler has revealed that Roofe is poised for yet another stint in the treatment room.

"I think there is a bit of a spell out. I must admit, I haven't seen him because he got the results on Friday evening," boss Sadler said.
