'No hesitation' - Mat Sadler makes Daniel Kanu admission amid his goal-laden form for Walsall
Mat Sadler says Walsall were always going to pursue a loan move for Daniel Kanu regardless of whether Jonny Stuttle had been recalled in the summer.
Kanu's season-long loan switch from Charlton Athletic was confirmed just an hour after Stuttle was recalled by AFC Bournemouth following his ACL injury.
The 20-year-old has made a blistering start to life at Bescot - scoring three goals in as many games, including Walsall's third in their 4-2 win over Tranmere Rovers on Saturday.
Walsall wanted to sign Kanu 'regardless of Stuttle's recall'
"We were trying to do that [sign Kanu] regardless [of Jonny Stuttle's recall]," Sadler confirmed.
