Mat Sadler opens up on Walsall's summer transfer picture and contract plans
Mat Sadler says Walsall will turn their attentions to contract negotiations once the summer transfer window shuts on September 1.
Walsall ended the previous campaign with 13 players out-of-contract, but have illustrated their vision for the future by predominantly handing out long-term deals to new signings this summer.
In total, Walsall have signed 11 new players, with an identical number heading out the door, including Levi Amantchi who has joined National League side Rochdale on a six-month loan.
Sadler insists he's pleased with the squad that he has assembled, but will still be looking to add if the right opportunities present themselves.
But he believes that the club are recruiting from a position of strength and won't rush into any signings that he doesn't feel are the right fit.
