The Saddlers squads have returned for pre-season training with Woods looking to build on last season's impressive campaign.
The youth team finished third in the North West Youth Alliance and Aaron Williams, Mal Benning, Kieron Morris and Ben George were handed professional deals.
And Woods has been impressed with his squad.
"I'm pleased with the condition that the lads have come back in," he said. "They've worked extremely hard this week and displayed a good attitude.
The youngsters open their pre-season programme at Sporting Khalsa at Noose Lane, Willenhall on Wednesday (7pm).
