Walsall new-boy Mark Wilson today urged Saddlers fans to forgive and forget as they bid to rebuild their season.

The midfielder, on loan from Doncaster, believes the team need total support from the sidelines to pull away from the bottom.

The Saddlers are only out of the League One drop zone on goal difference after Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Milton Keynes Dons.

They have lost seven of their last 11 league games to slip to 20th but Wilson has called for patience.

He said: "It's important the fans realise that, in this day and age, after a string of bad results you have to be patient. The more patience and the more forgiving, the better."
