Jimmy Walker today urged Walsall to ditch thoughts of total football and focus on winning ugly.

The Saddlers go to Wycombe tomorrow on the back of seven winless games in all competitions and have slipped to 19th in League One.

And Walker insisted the team must sacrifice entertaining football to ensure they pull themselves out of danger.

"We're not that fussed about playing attractive football at the minute, we just want to get a couple of wins back on the board," said the goalkeeper.

"The manager might say different because he's for total football but for us it's a case of getting the wins. A couple of wins will set us back on the path we need to be on."
