Claude Gnakpa today revealed his frustration at his stuttering Walsall career – but won't be caught napping on the job.

The winger admitted he is yet to hit top gear since his summer switch from Luton and wants to prove himself in League One.

Gnakpa has been out for three weeks out with a hamstring injury picked up at Notts County on his return after being dropped.

He could feature against Carlisle on Saturday and admitted he is desperate to make a lasting impression after a slow start to the campaign.
