Walsall striker Will Grigg today insisted he is ready for fight for his place and spearhead the Saddlers' attack.
The striker, who started Northern Ireland Under-21s' 3-0 European Championship qualifying defeat to Denmark on Wednesday, wants to return at Notts County tomorrow.
Ryan Jarvis has three goals in three games and Jon Macken is fit again after an ankle scare but Grigg is eager for an instant recall after missing the last two games on international duty.
He said: "Jarvs has been going well and Macka is fit now and it's a decision the gaffer has got to make. I'll be doing my best to prove I'm ready.
"We didn't have the greatest of results with Northern Ireland but it's good to be part of international football. I've played in the under-19s and under-21s now and I definitely enjoy it.
"It's a good experience with different coaching techniques."
