Alex Nicholls urges Walsall fightback

Alex Nicholls today insisted Walsall must keep their early promise alive to prove they can compete with the best.

The Saddlers have led in five of their six League One games but won just two and suffered a poor 1-0 defeat to Brentford at the weekend.

They go to Notts County on Saturday aiming to hit back and Nicholls knows they cannot afford to be left behind.
