Scott Adey-Linforth warns Stourbridge survival fight is far from over ahead of No.9 derby showdown
A rejuvenated Stourbridge enter the No.9 derby with a huge boost after escaping the Southern Central Premier relegation zone.
The Glassboys beat Alvechurch midweek to climb out of the bottom four. Boss Scott Adey-Linforth has led a remarkable revival since taking over in mid-December - Stourbridge were 20th in the standings, seven points adrift from safety, when he took the reins.
However, he has warned that their survival quest is far from over as they visit local rivals Halesowen on Saturday.
Asked if the quick upturn has exceeded initial expectations, he said: "It’s been good, I never really put a timeframe on it.
"I said to the lads in my very first meeting with them, we had 60 odd points to play for, and I said ‘this isn’t done yet’.
"Whether it goes to the wire or we do it in a week, it is what it is.
"We have been slowly chipping away and picked up some good results, but the job is not done. We have plenty of points to play for and work to do yet.
"I am sure there will be plenty of twists and turns in the final games, so we have got to be on it, every game is important to us.
"We go to Halesowen needing the points just as much as they do."
